EEEEEK!! Cannot believe we are expecting a baby GIRL this May! My husband and I found out the gender of this baby on our anniversary weekend with results via blood work at 10 weeks! It was SO fun keeping it a secret and between just us for a few weeks. We chatted about names, cried at the thought of our son being a protector to his baby sister, and laughed at the thought of having TWO children! Our kids will be almost exactly 2 years apart, 23.5 months to be exact. I love knowing that neither child will ever remember a time in life where their sibling wasn't a part of their world. How amazing is that?!
We are currently 15 weeks along and finally into that second trimester! While I must say so far, both my pregnancies have been wonderful, this one has definitely been different than Asher's! With his, I didn't have many pregnancy symptoms really at all. I didn't get the first trimester fatigue, no sickness at all ever. All I can remember is being insanely itchy during my first trimester and some swelling at the very tail end (It was beginning of June!). This time around, fatigue hit almost immediately. We found out right abound 5 weeks and it was within a few days of finding out that exhaustion hit me. Then around 10/11 weeks the nausea hit. It typically (even now) only hit when I let myself get hungry. Random weird things would make me gag and get sick...such as the smell of coffee, the smell of honey, and my dog's food lol! I think that stage has passed thankfully. And lastly, holy face breakouts! My poor face has taken a beating in the acne department over the past few weeks. They do say girls steal your beauty....::sigh::
Other than all of THAT, we are feeling great! We are so thrilled that all our family and friends know now. Now we can just continue celebrating this little miracle and enjoying every minute that she is safely nestled inside of me! <3
Now that the gender is out, SPAM me with all your must have GIRLY things!! This boy mama doesn't even know where to begin with having a girl!!! I did buy some muslin swaddle blankets that are pretty girly and 2 pink bows. That's all I've got so far!! Thankfully, 98% of Asher's newborn clothes and all our big items are all gender neutral; since his gender was a surprise till birth! I do want a few girly things for her though! I love shopping local so any shops or boutiques around the NE Ohio area, let a mama know! :)
