While welcoming my son into this world was the most amazing day of my life, it was also the hardest. It was hard physically but looking back, emotionally may have outweighed the physical pain. Being a birth photographer, it's safe to say I love all things birth. I have seen many births first hand, watched thousands of birth stories, and have educated myself so much on the process. My whole pregnancy was spent researching and educating myself even more, as I prepared my mind, body, and soul for the birth of my first baby.
Asher took 27.5 hours to finally arrive. Those 27 hours were hard. There are so many details I want to share with you all, but I'm not quite ready.
Our amazing photographer, Amanda Ellis, created this beautiful video for us to remember Asher's arrival. Since my labor was so long, we sent Amanda and our doula home for a few hours to rest. During those hours, things really intensified. Thankfully, Amanda made it back just in time to capture Asher entering the world! (Side note- I went from 5cm-10cm in 20 mins!) I am so thankful for such a dedicated and talented person in our lives. Amanda was so supportive and never once hindered my ability to labor or birth my baby. I hope you all enjoy the highlight reel to Asher Ryan's birth <3
