30 weeks along today! :) Crazy to think in just 10 weeks (give or take, hopefully take!!) our little peanut will be here!
Baby is just about 3 lbs now & the size of a cabbage! VERY active! We feel all sorts of feet, hands & elbow jabs throughout the day and night. Starting to become more active in the day than he/she was in the past. I sang to baby the other evening & got a pretty intense kick. I think he/she was telling me, "Mom, please don't" :) Baby also has hiccups pretty often! I feel them way down low which tells me baby is still head down...let's hope he/she stays that way! And speaking of head down, yowwwww!! We have some fun pains that are caused by baby's head being so low & rubbing on my cervix. Hey, you're welcome for that visual. ;)
This week, I started a yoga class! Well, last week was my first class & I loved it! It's so awesome being surrounded with other expecting moms and even one of my clients is in the class too. It's an hour long class each Wednesday evening & I'm so excited to go back. It's such a relaxing time for me and really is geared for stretching your body out & meditating on the connection between you & baby <3
Also this past week, we have been labeled as "glucose intolerant". Insert annoyed emoji here!! While I am so thankful for a team that puts mine & baby's health first, it's really frustrating finding out your body isn't doing what it's supposed to be doing. While I am not diabetic, I need to monitor my sugar levels and maintain a better diet so I don't become diabetic. It's been a real eye opener testing my sugar levels 4x a day to see what foods affect me. I will see my midwife this week and see how long I need to continue pricking myself, or if it's just temporary. Speaking of my midwife, we are officially seeing her every 2 weeks now!
I scheduled my first prenatal massage this week & I don't think I've ever looked forward to something so much. My wonderful chiropractor's office offers massages and I'd like to think if they're anything like their adjustments, I will be feeling pretty fabulous afterwards!
Emotions & hormones are pretty high as of late. I try to keep myself in check but man is it hard sometimes! I know everyone sees and thinks pregnancy is so wonderful (and it is!!!) but there are some days you just feel crummy. and tired. and sore. So for anyone I have snapped at or been grumpy with, please know it's only temporary and I blame baby!! :)
Overall, just trying to keep my sanity and hormones at bay. Looking forward to our baby shower in 2 weeks & to start nesting in the baby's room. It feels so empty in there & it's slightly driving me crazy...
As always, thanks for reading about our adventures! xoxo
